Get your property market-ready – with a building report buyers can trust.
All the upside of a vendor report, none of the baggage. Our shared-cost model puts it within reach for a fraction of the price.
Our shared-cost model currently covers auction, tender and deadline sales in Auckland. More regions and a shared-cost model for other sale methods are coming soon.
Why get a BuyersRep report before you list?
You pick the inspector – buyers share the cost
Choose from our panel of NZIBS, NZIBI and BOINZ inspectors – all insured and held to NZ Standards. Because buyers split the cost, your net outlay is a fraction of a standard vendor report.
Know your property before you list
Most vendors only learn of issues when a buyer's inspector finds them – at the worst moment. Spot problems early, fix them, and request a reinspection before you list. No auction-day surprises.
Attract more bidders
Your report is available to every buyer instantly, at a fraction of the usual price. Remove the cost barrier for bidders to access due diligence and you'll get more turn up to bid.
A report buyers can rely on – legally
Because we commission the report, it's independent. The successful buyer can upgrade to achieve legal reliance – as if they'd commissioned it directly from the inspector.
A smarter way to get your property ready for sale.

How the sharing economy works.
One fair, fixed price per report – shared across every buyer, so everyone pays less.
Pre-listing: auction, tender & deadline sales
- 1
You or your agent asks BuyersRep to commission an inspection and orders a copy of the report at our discounted price.
- 2
One fair, fixed price applies to every buyer – including you. Because you buy a copy, we can spread the cost even further (i.e. a higher discount for everyone).
- 3
You can fix any issues before listing and request a reinspection if needed (charged at cost).
- 4
From the date your property lists, the report is available to all interested buyers at the discounted price. Note that we won’t make the report available for others to purchase until we have your approval.
- 5
The successful buyer can upgrade to a version they can legally rely on – something a standard vendor report can't offer.
Good to know:
- Once you approve your report for re-sale, other buyers can purchase it for up to 70 days from your inspection date. Since reports stay valid for 90 days, that leaves a new buyer at least 20 days to request a reliance upgrade.
- For the smoothest run, request your inspection 20–30 days before you plan to list. That gives you time to fix any issues that the inspection identifies and keeps the report available for re-sale right up to your auction, tender, or deadline sale.
- Please note: if you don't approve your report for re-sale, or you don't list by auction, tender or deadline sale within 30 days of your initial inspection date, we may charge the full inspection fee (less anything you've already paid).
Pre-listing: other methods of sale
A shared-cost model for all other sale methods is on its way – ready soon.
In the meantime, tap our network of affiliated inspectors for a standard pre-sale inspection.
We arrange it and pass on our negotiated rate with no added margin.
These reports are addressed directly to you and aren't resold to other parties by us.
